Greetings, fellow travelers! I'm thrilled to announce the launch of my latest venture, Latitude 35 Travel. It's a dream come true that speaks to my soul's deepest desires — adventure, exploration, cultural enlightenment, historical edification, and immersion in the yet-to-be-known. Throw me in a place where I don’t speak the language and probably will get lost, and I’ll be as blissed out as my semi-toothless cat on tuna bisque (RIP).

Travel is not just a hobby for me; it's a relentless passion, a constant daydream, and the theme of my life's most fascinating moments. As often as I can, I'm exploring a new destination, whether camping in California's beautiful redwoods or treating my ears to bands on Frenchmen Street in NOLA; or exploring far-flung destinations like Uluru in Australia, Chobe National Park in Botswana, or Uruguay's wine country. It was during a conversation with my CPA that lightning struck: Why not turn this insatiable love for travel into a business that helps others experience the same joy and wonder?

And thus, Latitude 35 Travel was born. Why "Latitude 35," you might ask? Well, first, that's where Kyoto is located. I lived there for 1 1/2 years in my twenties and it triggered my wanderlust like a squirrel in a nut store. The 35th parallel also runs through some of the most stunning landscapes across the globe, from Tunisia and Crete to China and South Korea, and Chattanooga, TN, to Arizona's Petrified Forest. It represents a journey through varied cultures, histories, and natural wonders — a metaphor for the endless possibilities travel offers.

Through Latitude 35 Travel and this Talefeathers blog, I'll share my passions with you, offering ideas for tailored travel experiences that go beyond the ordinary. Whether it's a tranquil retreat, an adventure-packed expedition, or an immersive cultural journey, I'm here to guide you through it all. My mission is to curate trips that are not just vacations, but transformative experiences, connecting you with the essence of each destination's unique story.

Talefeathers will be your guide to the world. I'll feature travel tips, destination insights, and inspiring tales to fuel your wanderlust. I encourage you to sign up for my monthly newsletter, which will be a roundup of the previous month's posts along with special promos and other interesting travel tidbits.

Here's to new beginnings and the endless adventures that await. Welcome aboard Latitude 35 Travel — Dream big. Tell the tale.

In wanderlust,

Karen/Kiki

PS: What is the Petrified Forest so afraid of?😉
